The mission of the National Hearing Test (NHT) is to provide a hearing screening test that will help persons decide whether they should seek a full-scale hearing evaluation by a certified hearing professional. Taking the NHT can be the first step on a path to getting help for hearing problems. The NHT website provides information about the screening test and hearing loss, as well as resources for locating hearing professionals. No specific service providers are recommended or endorsed and no information about test takers is provided to any service provider.

Information contained in this website has been prepared by certified audiologists and experienced hearing scientists. However, the information contained on this website should not be considered to constitute medical guidance or professional advice. Corrections and additions to this website are made regularly.
